Diaspora members sends books for OAaSIS library number one

The books for the library at Sargeantville Community catering to over 10,000 residents have LANDED in Jamaica at the Kingston Wharf! The OAaSIS International management on Friday expressed deepest gratitude to Patrick Beckford, leading the contributors from across the US, who informed the group on Friday. “We are very grateful to the Diaspora within the USA and will acknowledge accordingly,” says Anthea, OAaSIS founder.

While the combined team from the foundation and the Sargeantville church, await permission to claim books at a tax exemption members also need to resolve issues with Dennis Shipping after being told that the recipients must assume a shipping cost of $15,500 plus for actual shipping that was first understood to have been free. There is need also to make the location ready for opening and stacking the books accordingly.

APPEAL FOR ASSISTANCE FURTHER:

MATERIALS NEEDED INCLUDE:

zinc sheets, cement, boards, boards for shelves(see below), nails
ALSO computer, chairs, tables

SERVICES NEEDED include:

assistance with categorising books

labour to refurbish part of building recently damaged,

labour for painting with Berger paints,

refreshments for work projects and opening

transport

FUNDS NEEDED:

The team members seek funds to acquire a stamp or stickers to label books

The team members have a carpenter willing to build the shelves at a nominal charge, so we seek funds

The team members seek funds to clear the books

The team members seek funds for refreshments

All contributions to the overall ‘muckle’ will be rewarded both with promotion and can be discussed further.
